Cognate Cloud Collages

Teaching beginning L2 French and Italian is a challenge for me this year! This Cognate Cloud Collage project was completed in two days using my school computers.  My 7th and 8th grade students really enjoyed working on their collages and did a great job.They increased their vocabulary and  reading ability. They love to point out cognates in  the many activities we do during  class. Some students decided to use another website called tagul.com  which makes various shapes. Be careful if you use it because it has a tendency to cut off words when it creates a picture - wordel/net is a better choice.
